Ran a mile, walked a mile. I think the heat is getting to me.
So, i’m waiting in a vacant house for my clientto show up. On the doorstep is this package of quaaker oats cereal & breakfast bar. Probably been sitting in this house for months. But, i’m hungry. The bar taste really good. I’ll give the cereal to my client.
Felt great for the first 1.5 miles. But, then I felt drained. To the point I was feeling dizzy. I hate when that happens. I get this way about every 10-12 runs.
I cut it short and will take tomorrow off. Hoping I can nail a great run on Wednesday.
Whether I have an awesome run or a so-so run, I always feel great when I’m done. I kept running towards it, but I wasn’t getting any closer. Oh well.
87 degrees and 4.2 miles done. My feet really like thick running socks. But, I think it’s getting to hot to wear them.
Thanks for checking on me. This is a tough time of year for me for a few different reasons.
- It’s the busiest time of year in Real Estate in Arizona. Got to help all the snowbirds buy something before they return to Canada or one of the northern states.
- It’s heating up. 95+ is normal and soon we’ll be in the 100’s.
- Baseball. I watch almost all of the Reds games. I, also try to catch the D’backs and NL central games. That includes your Redbirds (who are on fire of late).
I’m hanging in there, but need to eat better and run more.
Lately, I’ve been too tired to run. Tonight I had to decide if I was going to go to bed at 7:30 or run. I ran. It wasn’t pretty, but I got 4.2 miles logged in.
PAT!!! Hi Pat. I miss seeing you around. You are still here, just not as much.
pat says: Yeah, I’ve been super busy lately. Still wishing all my fitblr pals health, wealth and happiness.
Stay strong, my friends.
three miles in a row under 10:55. A 4.2 mile pace of 10:47 makes this the best run of the year for me. Two years ago I ran the Pat Tillman Memorial run called “Pat’s Run” and did it in just over 40 minutes. It was one of the best races I ever ran. Tonight I did the same distance in 45:06. Can’t wait till I can take that five minutes off again.
